Melting City, a tribute to two buildings, the Museum of London and Bastion House, London Wall, both due to be demolished shortly. The screenprint has been converted to an illuminated display which is part of the Old Street Digital Canvas located on Old Street. This year’s installations at Festival of Print include two works focussed on swimming. Swimming Home combines an engagement with swimming and a family history linked to the Polish city of Łódź where the main swimming images were photographed. This series of works is devoted to the joy of swimming in Łódź and in London. Once in the pool, the swimmer has few choices apart from swimming from one end to the other and returning – perhaps in better health. This project features a range of swimming places; all tinged with regret. Swimming in Time, a set of books in boxes has at its heart the Central London YMCA, one of the most delightful pools in London closed last year, and now sold to become a hotel.
